About Kim

Kim's approach to making healthy lifestyle changes include services such as one-one nutrition fitness coaching, education, customized fitness plans, cross training fitness classes, family nutrition fitness plans, nutrition and fitness related workshops, tips on stocking your pantry and cooking strategies for healthful quick meal making.  Kim's areas of expertise include nutrition and fitness coaching, cross-training, alignment, diastasis recti, core/balance/stability training, pre and post natal training, interval training, functional/body weight training, cardiovascular/aerobic training, and weight management.

Kim was a nutrition coach at the Cambridge Athletic Club (www.cambridgeathletic.com) as well as a fitness instructor for over 10 years. She has taught workshops at various companies and universities; such as the Russell J Call Children's Center at Northeastern University and at MIT Recreation Sports. Kim has provided nutrition seminars at REI Boston Outreach.  She has written articles for the Belmont Farmer's Market Roots & Sprouts Newsletter (http://www.belmontfarmersmarket.org/) as well as articles and tips for Nesting.com and Rofami Health & Wellness Newsletter.  
Kim has also held nutrition talks at the Belmont Hill Sport Camp to educate the campers about the importance of hydration.  


Kim is a volunteer with her youngest child's elementary school for the Green Committee, Health and Wellness, as well as her oldest child's middle school, Green Team.  Kim has also been trying to eliminate styrofoam lunch trays with a cost effective eco-body friendly alternative for serving meals in all of Belmont Schools since 2010. 

Kim also joined the Belmont Health Collaborative http://www.belmonthealth.com/ as a contributing blogger for Nutrition and Fitness.

This group consists of self-employed professionals working in Greater Boston communities who dedicate their careers to supporting the health and wellness of children, families, and seniors.  

Kim was part of a team of instructors in the MIT Physical Education department, Community Wellness for almost 4 years.  She was teaching a Nutrition & Fitness class to MIT undergraduate students. 

Kim has been teaching group fitness classes since 1999 at various health clubs in the Boston, Cambridge and Metro-West area.  Kim mixes her own music and creates play-lists for all her fitness classes.  She is consistently expanding her knowledge base of nutrition and fitness by taking continuing education courses, workshops, and seminars.   

Kim has recently partnered with Becca Pizzi (first U.S. woman to run the World Marathon Challenge), and Nicole Girouard (daycare provider with a passion for health and wellness). They formed the Belmont Youth Running Club.  Kids ages 8 and up meet every Friday morning at 7am-7.25am in Belmont.  The club promotes fitness, and All levels of ability are welcome.
